Eat more zinc

Zinc is an important mineral needed to maintain proper immune system function. This mineral helps the body develop and activate cells that support the immunity system. Zinc is also important during wound healing since it contributes to protein synthesis and cell growth.

Oysters have the highest concentration of zinc, followed by red meats which have some of the highest concentrations of zinc in food. Another excellent source of zin can be found in pumpkin, squash, and sesame seeds.
